A seasoned business leader, accountant, and community advocate with expertise in public speaking, leadership, mentoring, and supporting diverse and refugee communities through roles in Toastmasters, Rotary, and multiple not-for-profits.
Coming from humble beginnings, of a farmer’s son, one is taught hard work, perseverance and community spirit from a very early age. This has allowed Tim to follow his passions.
Tim leads with Excellence – he has taken the lessons learnt through life and applies them through his communities and through his business endeavours Tim is the managing director for Blackburn Accounting since 2013.
Tim is currently is on the board for a number of Commercial Companies & Not for Profit Entities. Tim was appointed to the Executive Board for ASeTTs from 2014 to 2020 a Not for Profit organisation providing services to Refugees in Western Australia.
In 2014 Tim Blackburn was elected as the state president for CPA Australia.
Tim Blackburn is committed with mentoring our community to Find Your Voice. Tim has founded the following clubs to create the space in his communities: the founding member for CPA Toastmasters, Victoria Park Toastmasters, WA Speakers Bureau, One Country One World Toastmasters & Perth Rainbow Toastmasters Club.
Tim was the District Director for District 17 Toastmasters International in 2022 and is the President at One Country One World.
Tim is a Past President of Belmont Rotary and currently is on the Executive Committee to Rotary WA, and Rotary LGBTQ Fellowship.
Tim is the founding member to Amani House, Rainbow Refugees Perth and Rainbow Refugees Australia.
